A creative couple decided to have six puppets from Sesame Street officiate at their wedding, see the cool video below.

The day a man and woman tie the knot is an extremely special and memorable one, while most people go with the norm, others break free of traditions, Tammy Caplan and Joe Gold certainly fit into the second group.

The creative couple, who are actors, writers and independent filmmakers, went into their childhood memories and decided to have a Sesame Street inspired wedding.

Guests at the wedding were totally surprised to see six puppets officiate- a main officiant, a rabbi, a judge, a ring bear, a captain and a wedding crasher.

On why they decided on puppets, Caplan told The Huffington Post that they both were fans of “Sesame Street” and the Muppets growing up.

On the characters and the script the puppets used, she said, “Joe and I wrote the ceremony fairly quickly, after we talked out what we wanted to do, the first draft took about a day. It was a blast to write! We’ve written several scripts together, but this was one of the most fun writing projects.”

To the surprise of the couple, people actually had fun, “we were a little nervous they wouldn’t like the idea but they loved it. The guests had tons of fun which was exactly what we wanted for our wedding.”

During the ceremony the puppeteers walked around with their puppets and interacted with the wedding guests.

Guests were invited to make their very own puppets, so, at the end of the day, the couple went on to have a special dance where everyone brought their puppets onto the dance floor.

Check out the colourful, comical affair in the pictures above and the video below.

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Bayelsa state and former commissioner for Agriculture, and Environment, Chief Lionel Jonathan –Omo, has appealed to Muhammad Buhari to exercise caution in probing Jonathan.
He said any attempt to prosecute Jonathan might cause violent uprising in the Niger Delta and should be avoided completely. He said:

“As you take over power please don’t prosecute or persecute President Jonathan, you will indirectly provoke a recrudescence of violence in the Niger Delta. Young boys will hang on that as a subterfuge to cause violent uprising again in the Niger Delta. Avoid it completely.”

He said he is convince that with the antecedents of Buhari and his deep sense of integrity and discipline, he will fix Nigeria, although not immediately.

“I am convinced that Buhari will succeed because of his unflagging desire to rule Nigeria. He has an internal motivation to do the job, and that internal motivation will transform to vision,” he said.
